atleasteight: first illustration for the semester! the brief was to combine three random elements into a cohesive image. i researched hindu deities and settled on depicting the tridevi. they are the trio of consorts to the ‘great trinity’ or trimurti (brahma, vishnu and shiva). the three animals are mounts or the ‘vahana’ to each consort respectively. parvati rides on a lion, saraswati gets a swan and laksmi has an elephant.
